KR: Cheryl, thank you for joining us at TRS. Please tell us about your
featured work, Inking Aaron.
CD: Inking Aaron is the story of two men very opposite in outward appearance and nature but who click and have to sort out their differences. From tats and corporate culture to sex and the closet, they really have to fight with themselves and each other to make it work.
KR: ou have a unique tattoo artist and a sexy, evasive businessman. What happens when their worlds collide? CD: Their worlds coexist in Vegas but when they invade each other's territory, sparks fly! Aaron plays nice with the executive set while Mohan makes no apologies for himself or his opinions. To him, Aaron is hiding and giving into the external pressures. But a little ink begins to bridge the gap in their worlds.
KR: What did you like best about Mohan? CD: Mohan is pure rebel. An Indian American with strict Hindu parents, he broke out on his own to sleep with men and ink people without shame. He is a genuine 'what you see is what you get.'
KR: What did you like best about Aaron? CD: Aaron is an all-american guy who loves his job and wants the dream and flash of Vegas. He knows real life has to include compromise and balance. He has rooom to grow and but also teaches Mohan that success isn't the enemy.
KR: What drew you to M/M erotic fiction? CD: It's just so damn hot! I love reading it so why not write it my way?? Two alpha males in lust and then in love...it's a whole different vibe and still very romantic.
KR: What is it like for a female author to depict a romance between two sexy men? CD: A dream. When the characteres are right, the story clicks. Whether M/M or M/F. The interaction between two men is more direct and physical so it brings lust into the story even faster.
KR: Black on Blonde was also recently released. What can you tell us about that? CD: Black on Blonde is my first erotica without a big romance. It's a paranormal set in Vegas. The herione, Serena, is a super witch whose job is to protect humans from supernatural sexual predators with the help of her partner Drake, a sexy changeling. Drake is a reader favorite, who wouldn't love a man who can be any size, shape or texture!! In Black on Blonde, a normal case turns into a huge problem for Serena....she meets a villian who equals her in power.
KR: What else do you have in store for lucky readers? CD: It's a busy 2008!
