Naomi Bellina

Danger, magic, lust and love come together in this tale of Star Lite, an unusual woman with an extraordinary talent for magic and love.

After a devastating fiasco on her wedding day, still-single Star Lite longs for peace and quiet to nurse her broken heart. Instead of the uneventful summer vacation she has planned, she's transported to a strange planet with even stranger inhabitants, and an irritating but sexy man named Adam who claims he's a magician.

Star senses danger in this place, and her suspicions are confirmed, as the two humans witness a bizarre display of power from a mad king. They form an uneasy bond and work past their differences as they look for a way to escape, and attempt to reason with two sensuous pixies, who try to protect their ruler.

When the king makes a foolish decision, danger threatens the entire planet. Not one to give up without a fight, Star reluctantly agrees to a sexual experiment, discovers her untapped powers of magic, and opens her heart to the possibility of love.

Reviews for Out of the Ordinary

"I had some laugh-out-loud moments in this book...the dialogue did a good job of showcasing the characters... As Star struggles to... come to terms with her attraction to Adam, she finds a renewed sense of purpose to her own life... I think lovers of sexy extra-terrestrial romance could really enjoy this one!" CaroB from Hearts on Fire Reviews

"The plot was very unique. That is what attracted me to this story in the first place." Rachel from The Jeep Diva

"It’s original, and a cute, quick read...This was my first time reading this author, and there were some great moments in this book... The relationship that builds between Star and Adam was written well, and there’s an extra bonus of twist and turns with an ending that will leave you wanting to know more." An Interview with Naomi Bellina
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio

HH: Naomi, thank you for talking with us at TRS! Your featured book is Out of the Ordinary and is the first in your The Adventures of Star Lite Series. What can you tell us about the series and where you got the idea for it?

NB: I love magic, in all shapes and forms. How cool it would be to find out that I possessed magical powers and could do all sorts of wonderful things! That's what happens to Star Lite.

HH: How does Out of the Ordinary kick it off?

NB:Star is having a crappy year after a wedding gone wrong and just wants to hide out for her summer vacation from teaching. She ends up being transported to another planet and meeting a man, Adam. She's attracted to him on one level, but finds him irritating too. Sounds like many men I know!

HH: What do you like best about Star Lite and why will readers be cheering for her?

NB: She doesn't let life keep her down. Even though she's not interested in a new lover, she acknowledges there's something that attracts her to Adam. The two have to combine forces to escape, so she tries to get along with him but doesn't let him boss her around.

HH: What do you like best about Adam and why will readers love him?

NB: Adam has an aura of mystery about him. Readers will know he has powers he's not revealing. He's attractive (of course) and a tiny bit macho, but as he gets to know Star he develops feelings for her and wants to protect her.

HH: What can you tell us about the books to come in this series?

NB: In book two, Star and Adam travel to Las Vegas, a city I love. It's a playground for adults! I've been there twice and really want to go again. They add a third member to their group and indulge in some hot ménage action to raise power. There is a great storm scene in book two that takes place in Florida, my home state.

HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers?

NB: Book three will be coming out this summer. The trio is again in Florida, and spends time in St. Augustine, another wonderful city. They have to work out the dynamics of their relationship and add another person to the mix. There's a lot of fun, snappy dialogue, unexpected twists and turns and of course, deliciously hot love and sex. My next book is going to focus on werewolves. I've come up with an idea for something a little different. Right now I'm finishing a novella I hope will be chosen for an anthology about spies.

HH: What do you enjoy most about being an author?

NB: I love the freedom to pick and chose what I want to write. Once I've signed a contract, I'm locked into completing the project but for the most part, if an idea forms, I can grab it by the tail and let my imagination take over. Wheeee!

HH: How has your writing career changed since you started out?

NB: I still consider myself a newbie. My first short book was published in June 2011 and I didn't know a thing about Ebook writing or promoting myself. I've learned a lot! I'm trying to write longer books now and paying more attention to marketing. I see so many opportunities in the romance world and I want to try a little of everything. Oh, for more hours in the day!

HH: What do you think has been the most positive change?

NB: I have more online friends and am settling into my local romance writers group, so I'm also making more flesh and blood friends. This helps me a lot by giving me support, encouragement, and sometimes just plain fun.

HH: Where can readers find you online?

NB: Thank you so much for asking! Here is where you can find me. If you go to my website you will find all my books under my Book List page and please visit my About Me page to sign up for my newsletter. I like to post fun stuff at Facebook, so feel free to Like me there. Thanks so much, Claire and the crew at The Romance Studio for letting me share with you today. Happy reading, everyone!

HH: Thank you!
