Leo Laporte and Scott Schaeffer are teammates on the ice and roommates off it who also share women. They've been coming into Kelly Chase's bistro after games for months, and they know they want her. As the attraction grows, the men realize they want more than a one-night stand -- they want forever.

Kelly's not so sure. Yes, she wants both men. But a permanent ménage relationship? That's taking giving her heart away to a whole new level, and a chance she's hesitant to take. Then Leo is injured and Scott's on the trading block, and she realizes this may be her only shot at true, everlasting love.

There are so many questions swirling around inside Kelly's head. Can she believe in Leo and Scott's love? And will her business and her reputation survive once people find out she's with two men?

An Interview with Cassandra Carr
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio

HH: Cassandra, thank you for talking with us at TRS BLUE! Your featured book is Head Games and it's the first in your Buffalo Intimidators' series. First, what can you tell us about the series?

CC: Yes, Head Games is book 1 in the Buffalo Intimidators series. The Intimidators are a fictional NHL hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. I'm planning on between six and twelve books, depending on sales and what the publisher wants. Book 2, Cold As Ice, is out with beta readers at the moment. Cold As Ice features the Intimidators top offensive line, including the captain, and a massage therapist. I also have an outline for book 3, Double Vision, and vague ideas for books 4 and 5.

HH: How does Head Games kick it off?

CC: With a bang! Since the book's heroes are the two goaltenders, I dive right into the action with one of them in net during a game. After the game they go to the same bistro they have dinner at after every game and decide to unleash Operation Seduction on the owner of the bistro, Kelly.

HH: What do you like best about Kelly and why will readers relate to her?

CC: I like how driven she is to succeed. She's got this restaurant and she tries so hard to make sure it's successful, not only for herself, but for her employees who are counting on her.

I think readers will relate to her because she has very realistic doubts and fears about how a menage relationship could work.

HH: What do you like best about Leo and Scott and why will readers love them?

CC: Oh man, there are so many things I love about Leo and Scott! Let's see... Leo is the more aggressive of the two, but not in an obnoxious way. He's got this way of doing and saying things -- he's definitely got some swagger to him. Scott is a great combination of sweet, sarcastic, and sexy. I'm hoping readers will love all the same stuff in Leo and Scott that I do!

HH: What can you tell us about the books to come in this series?

CC: Book 3, Double Vision, will follow a couple of characters who I very briefly introduce in book 2 -- an older defenseman and a much younger one. The older defenseman will have an established relationship with a woman and they'll bring in the young guy as their third. How will the relationship dynamic change?

Book 4 will start with either two or three of the team's forwards delivering season tickets to a fan, and book 5 will start with two defensemen helping out a woman whose car breaks down behind the arena. Those little kernels are how all my books start - I'm not one for complicated outlines or character sketches.

HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers?

CC: Oh man, so much! Caught, my BDSM holiday novella, releases from Loose Id on December 13th at http://www.loose-id.com/Caught.aspx. In early 2012 Ellora's Cave will release my book titled Impact, will a bull rider hero. I'm hoping that will be a series too -- I love that world! It's so much fun to write! Also, I'll be one of the authors launching the new EC for Men line in early 2012.

HH: What goals have you set for yourself at this point in your career?

CC: I want to be a bestselling author. I figure -- aim high with your goals!

HH: What are you reading at the moment?

CC: I took a break from reading erotic romance and am reading a historical romance from Katie McAlister called Noble Intentions. It's a hoot so far!

HH: Where is your favorite place to shop for books?

CC: Barnes & Noble! I have a Nook, but I still love going into the romance aisle at my local B&N so I can say, "I know that person!" "Ohhh, here's a new book by so-and-so!" I'm one of those people who will shamelessly give recommendations to other browsers.

HH: Any New Year's resolutions?

CC: I don't really make New Year's resolutions. I never really have. I just try to live the best life I can!

HH: Thank you and happy holidays!
