Samara King

She wanted to celebrate

Elyse Langston is taking it all off and after shedding one hundred pounds who would blame her for scheduling an exclusive boudoir photography session with Zion to celebrate her success?

Her boyfriend -- make that ex-boyfriend -- Collin is not happy about her recent weight loss and dumps her. If there ever were a remedy for single girl blues, it would be watching Zion master the lens as well as every inch of her body!

He wanted to ignore the temptation

Zion is no stranger to the female form. Beautiful women strut and strike a pose before him daily. His no strings attached demean-or has been the fortress he’s needed to keep his mind off the complic-ated matters of the heart and on building his clientele until Elyse strolls into his studio.

An Interview with Samara King
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio

HH: Samara, thank you so much for talking with us at TRS. Your featured book is Taking It Off and that title has a double meaning in your story. What can you tell us about how this sizzling romance came to be?

SK: Thank you for having me! Taking It Off features a down-to-earth heroine that lost a hundred pounds. In the process, her boyfriend dumps her because she no longer fits his ideals. It is through the end of her relationship that Elyse finds that she not only took off the weight but also the toxic relationship that was weight around her.

HH: What do you like best about Elyse and why will readers be cheering for her?

SK: I really love Elyse’s spirit. She’s faced many obstacles because of her size, but she’s out to prove that she’s going to live her life despite what comes her way. Lucky for her, what’s next for her is a sexy boudoir photo shoot with Zion Lemere.

HH: What can you tell us about Zion and why will readers love him?

SK: Zion is a mix of bad and good guy. He’s creative, sexy and has had his heart on the line, in which his sense of vulnerability deepens his journey.

HH: Self-image is such a big topic for many women. What message do you want readers to take away from this story?

SK: Self-love is so important. We are bombarded with images and advertising agendas daily, it’s important to treasure the attributes that make you – you. Hold on to your truth and honor what makes you feel good.

HH: What did you enjoy most about crafting this tale?

SK: I loved watched flawed people finding their way to love despite their past ghosts. I love watching heart felt characters triumph.

HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers?

SK: I am working on several series, one of which Taking It Off is connected to is Blush Novellas as well, as a hot family of reformed thieves entitled Rogue Hearts.

HH:  Where do you draw inspiration from?

SK: Stories often come to me via articles, tv or playing what-ifs. Characters often present themselves to me and that begins the premise for my stories.

HH: What's your writing schedule like?

SK: I normally write about 5 days a week, but it can vary as many writers know. So it then becomes a composite of fitting in writing slots and snippets of time.

HH: Where can readers find you online?

SK: Please visit my website at: http://samaraking.com or twitter: http://www.twitter.com/samaraking.

HH: What's your favorite place to hang out online?

SK:  I recently returned to blogging so you can often find me at http://charactersbehavingbadly.com.

HH: Thank you!
