Walt Sheridan has low expectations when he orders a bride for himself and his two brothers, but when Sabina steps off the shuttle he knows she is the woman for him--for all of them. His only reservation to offering his heart and soul to the sexy woman with the long legs and high-heeled boots is the secret she keeps from him. One thing is certain, the Sheridans will use any means to protect her from whatever put the fear in her eyes.

About Dee S. Knight A few years ago, Dee S. Knight made a career move that finally made getting up in the morning fun. During the day, her characters killed people, got married, became drunk with power or sober with responsibility. And sex. They had sex, over and over. What fun! On her word processor anything could happen to anyone. Writing about sexand all that other stuffwas so much fun, Dee decided to keep at it. Sex, murder and mayhem is how she spends her days. Her nights? Well, that's between her and her dream man/childhood sweetheart/long-time hubby. Dee resides temporarily in Virginia while Jack drives through now and then so they can play out trucker and hitchhiker fantasies. They still happily share the adventure they call life.

An Interview with Dee S. Knight
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Dee, thank you for talking with us at TRS BLUE! Please tell us about your featured book, The Triple S. Bride.DSK: Holly, thanks so much for inviting me to TRS!
The Triple S Bride is a futuristic western ménage set on a planet at the edge of the universe. Conditions on Earth have degenerated to the point we can no longer raise our own food, and so other planets are colonized. My heroine is escaping an abusive relationship with a rich, powerful man. The heroes are brothers who ranch on C8282. The oldest, Walt, purchased a mail order bride for the three of them. The trouble is, in making her escape as a mail order bride, Sabina doesn't know she's marrying three men. Will she accept Walt's proposal or chance being sent home and back into the arms of the law?
HH: How do you go about melding the idea of a mail order bride with a remote planet in the future? DSK: When the idea for a new group of Tasty Treats came up, several of us chose to write a western. We had a choice of the timeframe and I chose the future. I figured only so much will change no matter how far into the future we go. If mail order brides were popular in the past, and still are now, then there will be a demand years from now. A western seemed fitting first because cowboys ordered the first brides and I wanted some continuity between past and future.
HH: What do you like best about Walt and his brothers? DSK: They all three wanted to please Sabina, and what woman wouldn't want three hunks with nothing more important on their minds than making her happy?? Charlie is a sweetheart and wanted to please in a kind of innocent way. Dan wanted to satisfy her mind as well as her body. Walt's desire knew no bounds, but what I like best about him is that he so willingly took on his responsibilities. He sacrificed a lot to keep his family together and he did it out of love. You just know he'll stop at nothing to protect and care for those he loves-and now that includes Sabina.
HH: Will there be other books in this world? DSK: Not exactly. There will be another book in almost the same time period. It will feature Charlie after he leaves the planet and becomes a shuttle pilot. I have about three chapters finished and hope to have it completed by the end of the year.
HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers? DSK: I'm working on a couple of things I can't talk about much. =( Sorry! The next Tasty Treat volume I mentioned in the previous question is what I will have out next by Dee. Anne has a few things in mind.
HH: What do you think today's readers are looking for and how do you fill that demand in your writing? DSK: I don't think readers change all that much in what they look for in a book. I think a good, solid story with characters that grab the heart will bring readers no matter when. I try to fulfill that desire in everything I write. I admit some things have changed. For instance, ménage seems big now and that's one reason why I've tried my hand at it. I also have another western-though a modern day western--in the works since (like me) readers still seem to enjoy cowboys.
HH: What are you most proud of in your writing career? DSK: The notes and e-mails I've received from readers telling me how much they enjoyed reading one of my books. How can any writer top that? I appreciate other forms of recognition, of course, the awards and the Top Pick from RT Magazine are all wonderful. But positive feedback from a reader is priceless.
HH: What makes it all worth it to you as an author? DSK: Sometimes just taking a kernel of an idea and ending with a novel is so satisfying I wonder how anyone can be happy without it. Of course, money is really good, too. =)
HH: Do you read print books, ebooks, or both? DSK: I read both. A good friend gave me a grocery bag full of books last fall and I'm just now working through the pile. But when I don't have generous friends cleaning out their bookshelves I read e-books. I like e-books better I think because I can hold a cup of coffee and read at the same time, and I don't have a strained wrist from holding open a stiff mass market paperback. Are those silly reasons to prefer technology?
HH: Any big plans for the summer? DSK: None whatsoever. I plan to work, write and try to stay out of the Virginia humidity.
Holly, thanks so much for this time. I hope you and everyone joining me in this feature has a wonderful summer!
HH: Thank you!
