About Stormy Knight Dear Reader,
Stormy Knight is a true southern girl: sweet, sassy and oh so sexy behind closed doors. She loves to look at snow as long as she does it from inside a ski lodge with a big mug of hot chocolate and a handsome guy. However, at her core, she is a child of the winds and the water, loving the warm climates. Partial to the ocean, she has spent many hours on the beach and piers of The Outer Banks, Fort Pierce and Fort Myers, Florida. Now she lives In Texas but her heart still bleeds Carolina Blue.
Back list:
Red Hot Lightning, Blown Away, Behind O'Grady's Pub (all Dirty Bits stories at www.SapphireNightsBooks.com), Better After Midnight, first in the Steaming Quickies line also at Sapphire Nights Books.
An Interview with Stormy Knight
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Stormy, thank you so much for talking with us at TRS. Your featured book is All For Lust. Where did you get the idea for this sizzling tale of three women in disguise for fun who find themselves in danger?SK: I lived for many years in Richmond, Virginia. It's a conservative city with historic roots, but also an influx of many new residents and a rising crime rate. I am also aware that for single women in their late thirties/early forties, especially professional women, it's hard to meet men who are compatible socially and financially without those women having their reputations trashed. So, this sounded like a great way to mix my love for suspense with erotica.
HH: What can you tell us about Phoebe and why will readers be drawn to her? SK: Phoebe is a very strong-willed spontaneous woman. When she is focused on something, she'll do anything to achieve her goal. I think women will be drawn to her strength but also to her humor.
HH: What can you tell us about her friends? SK: Brice Carter is the most cautious of the three. So, for her to agree to their scheme is way out of her comfort level. The fact she is the one to get kidnapped is ironic.
Jocelyn Trainer is the oldest, the most aggressive and the least worried about tarnishing her reputation. She'll try anything once. As a hint regarding what happens to her in this book, once is all she gets to try.
HH: In your opinion, why are erotic romance and romantic suspense so good together? SK: They're both dangerous, without boundaries and make your heart race.
HH: What else do you have in the works? SK: I just published Behind O'Grady's Pub, a short work in the Dirty Bits collection. It's my first ménage and is doing very well in sales. This month, the week of the 18th, One Good Lay, book 2 in The Three Bustiers series will be released. It is also a ménage a trois and you guessed it -- Brice, the cautious one, is the heroine. The third book, Steaming Up, is Jocelyn's book and will be released the end of August.
HH: Do you own an ebook reader or read on an electronic device? If so, what? SK: I have a Kindle but also have the Epub reader installed on my computer and my tablet. Most of my reading still occurs on the Kindle, which I love.
HH: As a romance reader, what sort of stories do you personally prefer?
SK: I'm very eclectic, so my reader has a variety of other erotic stories as well as sweet romances, suspense, fantasy, paranormal and sci fi. I love a lot of humor in my books and don't care for dark books, though gritty scenes in suspense are okay.
HH: What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
SK: Crème Brule Cheesecake. Can't admit to some more sexually-implicit ones. =)
HH: What would you most like to accomplish in your career this year? SK: I'd love to have one of my stories make the All Romance Ebooks top ten. I don't dare hope for an Amazon 100, though it would be nice.
HH: Any vacation or appearance plans this summer? SK: I'm just starting a new day job, so no vacation for now. I hope to go to a major conference next year -- maybe RT.
HH: Thank you!
