Reviews for Total Package

"Diamond Taylor has written a true gem of a romance. TOTAL PACKAGE offers everything that a true romance reader would crave. Being single, I can fully appreciate how difficult it is to reveal to a male friend that you have feelings for them that you would like to explore. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a true appreciation for how a romance should be written." - 4 Blue ribbons, The Romance Junkies

"Diamond Taylor has brought to life the struggles of being friends who secretly want to become lovers. With an insightful flair to detail the emotions both James and Rachael have, the story comes to life. Although a quick read, I found the story captivating and a pleasure to read." - Sensual Reads

About Diamond Taylor

By day I work with a non-profit organization by night I write as Diamond Taylor creating hot erotica filled with kick sass heroine and supreme alpha males that will keep my readers wanting more. I still fondly remember the day when I told my mom I'd rather write than become the lawyer everyone thought I'd be. And Mom's only reply "what took you so long to figure it out." It was apparent to everyone who knew me that I had a gift for gab and a sometimes overactive imagination.

When I'm not writing I like to spend time with friends and family, support my brothers and sisters in the disability movement and read my favorite authors. My tiny lakeside apartment provides me with beautiful scenery to weave realistic characters and intricate plots.

Keep reading, keep dreaming!

An Interview with Diamond Taylor
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio

HH: Diamond, thank you for talking with us at TRS BLUE! Please tell us about your featured book, Total Package.

DT: Thanks for having me TRS Blue! Total Package is my first release and was three years in the making. The premise is story about friends but the hero wants more. The heroine wants more as well but she's goal oriented and thinks she can't have her cake and eat it too. So the hero makes a deal if he helps the heroine with her crisis at her magazine she must spend one night with him.

HH: This isn't your typical ugly duckling story. <g> Where did you get the idea for this emotionally-charged tale?

DT: I got to thinking it's always the girl who was the "ugly duckling" pining over the popular hunky jock. What would happen if the shoe were on the other foot? So I made the hero the diamond in the rough pining for the heroine.

HH: What do you like about James and how do you relate to him?

DT: I love the fact that even though he helps her and has conditions the only real motive he has is that he loves her and wants to be with her. I so relate to James and I believe all my readers will too! How many of us have wanted someone from afar but for whatever reason we didn't have the courage or felt we were out of our league. I know I have!

HH: Will there be other stories connected to this one?

DT: I'm hoping to write a story in the near future on his best friend Charles but I'm waiting for the perfect heroine to come along and tame him.

HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers?

DT: I have time travel paranormal story I just finished not too long ago that's looking for a home and I have a contemporary erotica that's half done

HH: What do you think today's readers are looking for in the romance genre?

DT: I think the main thing readers are looking for is a good story. I think stories are being written that are hotter than ever and not just in the erotica genre! As an avid reader I love stories where the hero and heroine have obvious but redeemable flaws because readers can say, "hey that could be me!"

HH: What changes do you see coming in the genre and how will it affect you?

DT: I think you will see more unique characters and more emotionally charged romances. For example, I just finished a wonderful story where the heroine had cancer. But it didn?t over take the story. Five or ten years ago you never would've seen that in a romance novels.

HH: What do you enjoy most about being a writer?

DT: Seeing the story on paper as I envisioned it in my head is the best and hardest part about being a writer. Getting it down just right is a challenge but once I do I get all giddy seeing my vision come to life. And can't wait to share with everyone.

HH: Do you read print books, ebooks, or both?

DT: I read both though I must admit I read more print than e-books. Though all my erotica TBR piles are in e-book format.

HH: Any big plans for the fall?

DT: I hope to announce some releases really soon so stay tuned!

HH: Thank you!
