An ex-soldier in need of an angel.
Tortured by flashbacks, Cord Ramsey returns from the war only to discover his family home sold out from under him. The current owner, Rio, proposes a deal-Cord can keep his property if he can keep one wild woman under protective custody for a few days.
And the feisty reporter they both want to save...
Tied up? Kidnapped? Dumped at a stranger's dumpy plantation? Rio's back from the dead five minutes and already trying to run Juli's life! But while he's playing the unwanted hero, it's her newly enlisted watchdog who's playing her body-to the tune of his. For Cord's no gentleman and soon his rough and ramblin' ways will tangle all three of them in an inescapable web of desire.

"...a fascinating and complex romance and worth every second spent reading. A lover of erotic romance could not ask for a better example of how it should be done. The tension is fantastic, the chemistry is sensational, and the sex, well, it is phenomenal! These two ladies have come together to bring readers a journey that will take you to the edge and back..." About Larissa Lyons Larissa Lyons loves cats, chocolate, and her husband-though not necessarily in that order! She's been a clown, a tax analyst, and a pig castrator >^..^<, but none of those endeavors satisfy quite like putting pen to paper and seeing her stories come to life. An Interview with Larissa Lyons
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Thank you for talking with us at TRS BLUE. Please tell us about your featured book, Tied Between Two Lovers.LL: What's a girl to do when she finds herself tied between two alpha males both trying to run her life? Why, earn her spanking, of course!
That's the fun tagline co-author Alyssa Brooks and I came up with. A little glib given the depth of emotion conveyed in the actual story, but Tied also offers a number of laughs in between panting sessions over our two tortured heroes.
One reviewer commented on the complexity of the romance aspect then went on to add "a lover of erotic romance could not ask for a better example of how it should be done. The tension is fantastic, the chemistry is sensational, and the sex, well, it is phenomenal!"
It's a long story, but it needed to be in order to do justice to all three characters and their respective growth and to justify our heroine falling in love with each man. Plus, there's an element of danger as some bad ass dudes are after the Juliana and seriously want her dead. Fortunately, she has her sexy "watchdogs" that definitely plan to keep her alive.
HH: A feisty reporter and two very sexy heroes. Where did the idea for the story come from? LL: Alyssa conceived the original concept, eager to create a believable ménage that ended in a tri-monogamous happily ever after, though her original plot changed mightily as we worked together to develop and execute it. The heroes were a true collaboration and we still find it fan-worthy that two so different men can get our engines revved and juices flowing. :-) Pardon me while I reach for some ice water. (Oh look - it's next to a plate of brownies!)
HH: This isn't your first collaboration with Alyssa. What can you tell us about the creative process as part of a team? LL: It's both beautiful and sometimes tricky. We've learned to plan the bulk of each story during a single phone call otherwise we both have ideas that often take the characters in opposite directions. When we hash out the basic outline together, it's amazing what different nuances each of us then insert into the story and the way our characters truly come alive during the writing process. Alyssa, plot and pacing extraordinaire, writes the first draft. My job, as Little Miss Detail (a name Alyssa gave me), is to inject depth-and catch all of her mistakes (or so she told me!). :-)
HH: You have another joint release called Restrain Me coming soon. What can you tell us about that? LL: Restrain Me is the first of our modern-day cowboy series Bottoms Up. The stories are set in Texas where the men are strong and sexy and looking for love-they just don't know it yet!
Boaz is the oldest rancher of a large family, overwhelmed with work and responsibility, who decides to let loose when his nana starts making some crazy demands. Lucky for Bo, there's a little gal who's just bet her best friend she'll put the moves on the very next cowboy to walk through the door. Lucky for Sommer, Bo is one hot and raring-to-go cowboy. :-)
HH: Cowboys? <g> - Anything else you can share about the next Bottoms Up story? LL: Yep! We're writing the second brother's tale now. Jonah is a blue-eyed, square-jawed no-nonsense rancher who gets tripped up and lands flat on his back-in the hay-thanks to a smart-mouthed New Yorker vacationing in his neck of the woods. (One he just happened to stand up a few years ago...who's never forgotten his sexy tight ass in Wranglers or the leather cowboy belt he always wore...and who can't help but wonder how it might feel when strapped against her flesh!)
HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers?
LL: I have two Regencies in the works I hope to submit soon-one is Book III in my Roaring Rogues series and the other a sweet traditional Regency. Then there's the third cowboy story with Alyssa, so there's plenty on the horizon.
HH: What's your favorite type of story to write and why? LL: As much as I fantasize over cowboys, I'm a sucker for the Regency-whether it's a shapeshifting stud whose story is loaded with sex or a hero that stops with hot kisses-at least until the vows!-there's something about the historical setting that puts me in a thumping great mood! (Or "sparkish fine" mood, to use another Regency descriptor.)
HH: What's your idea of a perfect hero? LL: In no particular order, I create the ideal "Larissa Lyons" hero:
- facial hair (mustache in modern day; side whiskers in historicals)
- has an intimidating or formidable personality-but he has his reasons
- is instantly attracted to his heroine and feels hugely protective towards her
- isn't afraid to admit his feelings-but only to the heroine
- must like cats (or he would if I wrote 'em into his way) >^..^<
- bonus points if he has his own horse
- goes after what he wants and stands up for what he believes in, no matter the cost
- and finally, he interacts with the heroine in an uniquely special way-she brings out something in him no one else ever has
HH: What are you reading now? LL: Let's see...what's on my nightstand? Yoga for Healthy Knees by Sandy Blaine-which is a fabulous book I highly recommend. You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay, one I've just started. And A History of London, published in the 70s (gulp-I can hardly believe that's been almost 40 years ago!). Pretty tame stuff for an erotic author, huh?
HH: What's your idea of a perfect day? (and it can include brownies) <g> LL: Fabulous question!
A perfect day would of course include making said brownies so I could lick the bowl! Toss in a couple productive hours of writing, good meditation and yoga sessions, not too much wind (not farts! I'm talking real wind-where we live it can sometimes blow you over!), some good quality time with my gatos >^..^< and Mr. Lyons...and making a dent in the piles of paper I have practically lining the house (grrrr). That sounds pretty perfect to me.
Although, there's always savoring a spiked and slushy umbrella drink on some deserted tropical beach...
Heck, how about brownies on the beach and you're invited?! Thanks so much for chatting with me about my books. :-) Larissa
HH: Thank you!
