| Violet Winter’s father has decided it’s time for her to settle down. Violet wants to mate for love and has refused to bend to his will. Brought before the pack elders, Violet is told to choose a mate by the conclusion of the lunar eclipse.
Sex with the unacceptable half-breed during the eclipse was an act of defiance, meant to demonstrate her independence, but the flames ignited aren’t easily extinguished and Canon Ross isn’t going to be a werewolf easy to dismiss.

An Interview with B.J. McCall
By Katie Raines, Assistant for The Romance Studio
KR: B.J., thank you so much for joining us at TRS BLUE. Please tell us about Lunar Eclipse.
BJ: Lunar Eclipse is a story about Violet, a she-wolf standing up for her rights in a male-dominated werewolf social structure and Canon, a half-breed werewolf who doesn't have a home in the human or werewolf worlds. The attraction between the two is immediate and when they come together during an eclipse the effect is explosive. They can try to ignore their hearts but the power of the moon cannot be ignored.
KR: This was a wonderfully original werewolf tale of a defiant daughter and the son fighting for his position in a world that doesn't accept him. Where did you get this great idea? BJ: I wanted to write a story about a werewolf raised in the human world, a wolf without a pack. Canon's dilemma is a twist on the traditional romantic hero half-breed tale.
KR: What did you like best about Canon? BJ: Canon doesn't know all the pack rules, but when he inadvertently breaks a big one he has to take a stand. Even though the personal cost is high, he chooses love.
KR: What do you enjoy most about working on shape shifter stories? BJ: It's a challenge to make the reader suspend belief and enter a world of werewolves existing among us. If the reader can fall for my hero and root for my heroine, I've achieved my objective.
KR: What do you have in the works for readers? BJ: Summer titles from Changeling press are Hunting Evil, a vampire bounty hunter story, Summer Passion and Spaceport:Scavenger. Two upcoming stories are Warrior of the Light from Ellora's Cave and Fire Angel from E Red Sage.
KR: You're a well known author writing for several publishers. How much time do you put into your career?
BJ: I try to write daily. Perhaps I should put more time into promoting my books, but for me it's about the writing. I have stories in my head that have to get out and characters that want to be brought to life.
KR: How do you balance writing with the rest of your life?
BJ: I want to enjoy every day and I want to love what I do. Writing is what I love, but I make time for family, travel and relaxation. I love islands and my dream vacation is a trip to Palau. When at home I love to read, watch a movie or a favorite TV show while enjoying a glass of wine.
KR: What's your favorite way to interact with readers?
BJ: I post on some of the yahoo groups and enjoy a little back and forth with readers. I must confess I don't actively participate in blogs or chats.
KR: What are you most proud of as a writer?
BJ: Given the rejection letters I received when starting out, I'm proud that I didn't get discouraged. If you have a dream, keep working at it
KR: What's your idea for a perfect day?
BJ: Writing the final scene of a book always makes for a great day. Receiving the offer of a publishing contract and getting a great review scores high, too.
KR: Thank you!
