Woefully unhappy, Morgandy's life changes when she finds the missing Lord Peregrine lying naked in the pasture. Attracted by his hard torso and his arousal, she examines him with unbridled desire. With his muscular body and beguiling charm, he has no problem getting her to accept his offer of a sexual liaison instead of marriage to his brother.

Having been in a foreign prison for ten years, Hunt has finally returned, disoriented and weary from his harrowing journey home. When he wakes in the lush pasture of his estate and finds a ravishing beauty arousing him with her shameless fondling, he feels fate has given him the cure to his cursed existence.

Unable to resist Morgandy's alluring adoration, he uses her to his advantage, as well as falling in love with her faster than a bird can fly. While pursuing his torrid affair, he's challenged to prevent her from sacrificing herself to a man she doesn't love to save their home from the financial ruin of his brother.

In the end, Hunt devises a plan that he hopes will not destroy his cherished role as Morgandy's Lover.

An Interview with Brenda Williamson
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio

HH: Brenda, thank you for talking with us at TRS. Please tell us about your featured work, Morgandy's Lover.

BW: A paranormal historical set at an English country estate, this story is about Morgandy and her need of someone to love her. When she shows very little reluctance to intimacy with one dashing fellow after finding him naked in her pasture, she feels he's the man she wants. Yet, Hunt has a few secrets, and while he sees them as no problem, he still has to deal with an estate that appears to be in financial ruin because of a brother too greedy for his own good.

HH: This is part of Loose Id's Classics Line. What is this and how did you come to be part of it?

BW: The Classic Line is for readers to distinguish previous published stories from new stories. Needless to say, Morgandy's Lover was available under a now defunct publisher and has found a new home for those that missed its short appearance two years ago. I've had several readers email me that they have purchased the new expanded edition because they loved the story.

HH: Your hero is faced with a hard decision in this story. Where did you get the idea for this passionate, emotional tale?

BW: From my muse. My stories just come out on their own and I really haven't much control other than in the way I choose to write the tale.

HH: What do you like best about Morgandy?

BW: Her unashamed curiosity. She see him-likes him-agrees to do anything with him-all because she hunger's for love. I see a whole lot of me in her.

HH: What do you enjoy about writing in the historical genre?

BW: Incorporating some of what I learn about the past into the stories I tell, so the old ways are never forgotten.

HH: What are you working on now?

BW: The re-writes to a murder mystery novel; and a futuristic spy novella for Book 2 in the Sexual Deceptions series I'm co-author of with Rayne Forrest.

HH: What else do you have for lucky readers on the horizon?

BW: The expanded version of Fiachra's Kiss (Whiskey Creek Press Torrid) and Her Savage Lover (Aspen Mountain Press) an Old West Indian historical Romance.

HH: What's a typical writing day for you?

BW: This summer I'm a slacker when it comes to writing. I think the heat has gone to my head, and instead of writing, I end up daydreaming. Maybe a good story will come from all my quiet meditations.

HH: How do you celebrate a good creative day?

BW: Baking a cake and then eating most of it.

HH: What are you looking forward to in the remainder of 2008?

BW: Good health and prosperity.

HH: Thank you!
