Reviews for Silent Witness
"Silent Witness is an interesting puzzle for the reader and Ms. Eason does an excellent job of giving the reader clues to the mystery, making them believe they’ve figured it out and then discouraging that assumption. A Romantic Suspense novel, Silent Witness has that but also is reminiscent of a good mystery. JT and Faith both have enough issues to drown a less capable writer, but Ms. Eason keeps the story afloat and the issues never overwhelm the reader. This isn’t a book you can read lightly, instead it makes the reader think and engage their powers of deduction. The ending twist had me fish mouthing at it." ~ Reviewed by Stephanie -- Simply Romance Reviews
"Author Eason reveals the details gradually as the physical attraction grows for her main characters. Both are consumed by guilt. The police in Austin thought Faith might have actually been a participant in the crime, and Faith fears this could be true. Her amnesia puzzles everyone. It must be truly disturbing to live with so little sense of self. The explanation is satisfying and the solution logical, if not totally believable." ~ 4 hearts ~ Review by Lynn Bushey, The Romance Studio
"The story winds through Faith’s journey to trust JT and JT’s journey to admitting his feelings. Just to admit he has feelings is a big step for him and there are hints as to why, but the truth of the situation isn’t revealed until late in the book. Faith is believable as the amnesiac on the run from a killer and JT is just as believable as the man who cares and doesn’t want to. this wonderful book. I’ve read Ms. Eason’s other title published by Cerridwen and I was just as happy with it. I’ll be watching for more stories from this great romantic suspense author." ~ 5 Angels ~ Reviewed by Jordan at Fallen Angels Reviews
"The suspense in SILENT WITNESS will leave readers flipping pages, yearning to find the answer before the danger explodes. There is no gratuitous sex, and everything is written for a reason. I look forward to reading more from this author." ~ Review by Stacy Cooper, Romance Reviews Today
"Talk about suspense all the way. Mary Eason did a beautiful job in this new suspense novel. I loved that you have Faith who is in a way a stranger to herself. She doesn’t remember anything about her life but knows more about her best friend’s life. Then you have JT and man talk about a knight in shining armor. Everything about him screams protector. These two are great for one another. The fact that Mary created a stalker who won’t stop harassing Faith shows she has a devious mind to keep readers in suspense. One minute I thought he was near then she gives you a curve and you are like what. I loved Silent Witness and can’t wait for more of Mary Eason’s work." ~ 5 Hearts ~ Melinda, Night Owl Romance Reviews

About Mary Eason
Mary Eason is a multi-published author in a wide variety of romance genres from chick lit to romantic suspense. Mary's first romantic suspense was published through Cerridwen Press.
Mary grew up in a small Texas town famous for, well, not much of anything really. Being the baby of the family and quite a bit younger than her brothers and sister, Mary had plenty of time to entertain herself. Making up stories seems to come natural to her. As a pre-teen, Mary discovered the words of Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney and knew instinctively that was what she wanted to do with her over-active imagination.
She wrote her first novel as a teen (it's tucked away somewhere never to see the light of day), but never really pursued her writing career seriously until a few years later, when she wrote her first romantic suspense and was hooked. Today Mary still lives in Texas and still writes about romance. In fact she can't think of anything else she'd rather do.

An Interview with Mary Eason
By Holly Hewson for The Romance StudioHH: Please tell us about your featured book, Silent Witness. ME: Thanks, Holly. Silent Witness was a challenge for me as a writer in many ways. The most intriguing part of the story is the heroine’s struggle to learn who she truly is. Faith’s amnesia instills in her an instinctual distrust of everyone around her. This makes it almost impossible for JT to get to know her, much less help discover the truth about her past, and uncover the identity of the person stalking her.
HH: our heroine is a woman who's past is cloudy and she faces danger from it. Your hero is trying to help her figure it all out before it's too late. Where did you get the idea for this thrilling story? ME: A few years back, I read an article about a man who witnessed a murder so horrific that he’d pretty much blocked out all memories of it. From there, the plot for Silent Witness was born. Creating Faith and JT’s characters and their personal struggles was a blast.
HH: How do you go about planning a story where your characters face peril? ME: For me, especially in writing romantic suspense, the suspense side of the story must come first. I have to have an intriguing plot that holds my interest otherwise, I can’t expect my readers to get involved in the book. After the plot is in place, I allow myself to delve into the minds of my leading characters and let them take control of the story from there.
HH: What do you like best about JT? ME: I love the fact that JT isn’t perfect. He has his own demons. His wife was murdered a few years back and he still blames himself for not being there to protect her. JT promised himself he would never fall in love again. He wasn’t expecting to fall in love with Faith
HH: What are you working on now? What can readers look forward to from you in the near future? ME: I’m finishing two new romantic suspense novels that I believe will be a rollercoaster ride for my readers. In addition, I have my first paranormal romance, Everything But Goodbye, coming to Champagne Books in November. It’s a tragic love story that has, you guessed it, a twist at the end that is unexpected I also have another lighthearted romance coming to Whiskey Creek Press in September, so look for more news about Your Every Desire’s release soon.
HH: You write in a wide variety of genres. Do you have a favorite? ME: I love a good suspense. Give me a book about a serial killer or someone stalking a heroine and I’m in love.
HH: What do you enjoy most about being a writer? ME: I love being able to live in my characters worlds for a little while. I almost feel guilty. It’s like waking up to a different life each day.
HH: What challenges do you face in your career? ME: The biggest challenge for me right now is balancing the need to put the new ideas floating round in my head down on paper and keeping up with the editing of books coming to press. Not to mention promotion. It’s a difficult challenge, but a nice one to have.
HH: What goals have you set for yourself at this point in your career? ME: Create the best story I can and get it published by one of the more traditional New York publishing houses.
HH: What are you looking forward to most in the autumn? ME: Cooler temperatures. In Texas, the summers can be brutal. I’m looking forward to the change. For me, Fall is rejuvenating.
HH: Thank you!
