Zeus Tanner, a self-made man from humble origins, has one driving goal -- to reclaim his stolen birthright. When the scandalous advertisement catches his eye, Zeus believes he's found the key to realizing his dream. But after surpassing the arduous task of obtaining an audience with the infamous Lady Scandal -- who's hidden herself behind a screen without explanation! -- Zeus never imagined he'd be asked such a strange assortment of questions, given a test of manners over an atrocious scone, and ordered to disrobe and show her his chest -- and "male parts". Zeus heartily refuses to comply with this last outrageous request. Unless, he ponders out loud, the intriguing female is willing to trade her stockings and stays for the privilege...
*MAD*WARNING* Lady Scandal features flying slippers and stockings, a soaring silk neckcloth and silky undergarments, an unplanned eruption of epic proportions, and innocent licks that soon turn lust into love!

About Larissa Lyons With a penchant for sexy, studly cowboys and rowdy, roaring rogues, Larissa is happiest when writing about strong men with a weakness for the right woman.
She loves cats, chocolate, and her husband - though not necessarily in that order (brownies rank in there somewhere, as do James Bond films). She's been a clown, a tax analyst, and a pig castrator >^..^<, but none of those endeavors satisfy quite like putting pen to paper and seeing her stories come to life.

An Interview with the Larissa Lyons
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Larissa, thank you so much for talking with us. Your featured book is Lady Scandal. Your heroine is a young widow advertising for a rich, handsome new bridegroom. Where did you get the idea for this sizzling story? LL: I read a story where the hero advertised for a mistress. I'd had Juliet, my young widow, in mind for a while. I knew she'd been married off to an old goat without any courting or say so and I thought if a hero can interview candidates for a mistress, then why couldn't my heroine advertise for a new spouse? One closer to her age with loads of the ready.
HH: What do you like about Lady Scandal and why will readers identify with this intriguing heroine? LL: She's still an innocent – though her gruff, now-deceased husband tried to bed her, he was unsuccessful (all that liquor and debauched living finally caught up with him, I guess :-), yet she's very determined. Juliet's woefully ignorant when it comes to how to interact with a young male, but she's full of sass and determination, two things that help her live up to the new "scandalous" name she's been given.
HH: What do you like about Zeus and why will readers be drawn to him? LL: Zeus isn't a typical Regency hero. For one, he's a bastard – and completely without connections to the ton. For another, he's the underdog, the prideful, self-made man with a chip on his shoulder who thinks all he wants is the properties Juliet offers to her chosen husband. Once he meets her though, he soon realizes where the true treasure is to be found – Juliet, not some dusty estate.
HH: What sort of research did you do for this work? LL: I always research my word choices very carefully. Can't go using zipped or zoomed in a Regency story because they didn't exist then. :-) I learned more about entails and inheritance laws, as well as the window tax -- in order to avoid paying it, people would actually board up windows so they wouldn't be counted!
But my favorite research on any story has to be the sexual slang. I spend a lot of time learning what euphemistic and naughty terms these Regency gents would have bandied about when referring to their anatomy. =)
HH: What else do you have in the works? LL: I'm in a part of the country that's been hit hard with wildfires. I'm actually putting some of my romance stories on temporary hold so I can work on a book that documents how the fires have affected those in our community. Fortunately, I have several short stories that are nearing completion, so I'll finish these up in the meanwhile.
HH: With the rising popularity of eBook readers and devices like the iPad, what changes do you see coming in the romance genre? LL: I think it'll only continue to explode. With more e-reading devices, people will have more opportunities to read and that will hopefully continue to open up the eBook market.
HH: As a romance reader, what sort of stories do you personally prefer? LL: Christmas-theme Regency anthologies are my absolute favorite thing to read. (Ho, ho, ho!) After that, I like any Regency novella, followed distantly by longer historicals.
When I'm feeling adventurous, I page through a futuristic or erotic romance of any genre. Sometimes a contemporary, but I'm definitely a Regency girl at heart.
HH: What do you do when you get stuck in a story? LL: Wait it out and/or talk options over with a friend. I find it helps to be writing two or three stories at the same time because if I stumble with one, another is waiting in the wings.
Fortunately, I rarely get stuck on a particular story. Unfortunately, when life intervenes, and stress (and wildfires) happen, it's hard to be motivated to write anything.
HH: Tell us about the best fan mail (email) you've ever gotten. LL: Ironically, it was for a free short story I'd written. A couple hours after I sent it to my newsletter group, two or three fans wrote in to say how much they loved it. But one email in particular had me smiling for days; it went on to say how much the reader loved it, why she loved it, and how I could expand it into a full-length novel. All that from a two thousand word story!
HH: What are your favorite hobbies/activities these days? LL: Hmm. I'm really a hobby hopper. My interests change with the seasons. Right now, I've been reading a lot more lately, doing a bit of sewing, incorporating weight-lifting back into my routine, and another thing I'm having lots of fun with – giving baking lessons to a friend's home-schooled daughter. We bake a batch of brownies and settle in to watch The Cat from Outer Space. It's a blast and a great departure from my regular routine.
Holly, thanks again to you and everyone here at TRS for the chance to share more about my stories. >^..^< Larissa
HH: Thank you!
