Reviews for Conquering Jazz
Brenda at The Romance Studio gives FIVE Hearts! She says in part: "What a book this turned out to be! This was one of the sweetest storylines I have read. It was literally woven into and through the sexual scenes of the book. The further I read, the more thrilled I became that this was book number one of the series."
"This was my first encounter with Ms. McKenna Jeffries, but I assure you it will not be my last. This book was not just erotic, it was scorching. From the earliest pages to the last word, this work of art was packed with in-depth, detailed sexual incidents. The animalistic events that occurred in this book were seemingly exhaustive yet they were not offensive. The high percentage of sexual encounters in this work did not leave the plot lacking. Far from it. The story was beautiful and the characters were so lovable that it was impossible not to fall for them. The supporting cast was equally as captivating. There was enough interaction that I promise you, too, will be anxiously awaiting the other stories. Her writing style is dynamic and remarkable. I promise you a wonderful read that you will not soon forget."

About McKenna Jeffries
McKenna Jeffries has loved the written word from time she picked up her first book. Soon she was creating tales of love and family.
Although McKenna used to make up stories never did she even think to put them on paper until after she realized she had to share her stories. Ever since she had been writing stories ever since. Some new idea or story is floating around her head. With the itch in her fingers until she can get a piece of paper to write down the idea McKenna is always busy. She writes because it's a love affair. McKenna tells anyone who will listen and even some that didn't want to listen about her work.
Her collection of books has grown by leaps and bounds throughout the years. Someday her plan when she get her dream home is to have one of those huge libraries put in with the shelves built from floor to ceiling, a fireplace, couches and the works.
Currently writing a contemporary romance and with many other ideas floating around McKenna is hard at work. Visit all the pages to see her work and future mysterious changes that are coming up.
An Interview with McKenna Jeffries
By Holly Hewson for The Romance StudioHH: McKenna, welcome to TRS. Thanks for talking with us! What can you tell us about your featured work, Conquering Jazz? MJ: Conquering Jazz is about two friends who come to realize that they want to be more than friends. It takes an unwitting sultry proposition first to get things going. Here is the blurb.
Conquering Jazz Blurb
Jasmine Hamlin unwittingly makes a proposition to her friend Reese Bryant. She tries to recant but he dares her to take a chance to walk on the wild side. Unable to resist the dare and the passion she feels for him she accepts.
Her plan? They play by her rules and the affair will end when they both are fulfilled- as long as she can keep her control they can still be friends. But Reese wants to be more than friends.
His plan? To break her rules even as he fulfills her fantasies and make sure their affair never ends.
HH: To friends try something a little different with their relationship and the result sizzles. <g> Where did you get the idea for this amazing story? MJ: One day I sat down to write a story I was working on and instead Conquering Jazz came to me. Once I started writing it I was drawn into the characters. Jazz a woman hurt by her past. Reese this strong man who has loves her. They have supportive, meddling friends and families. Besides the romance in Conquering Jazz I enjoyed building the families in there. Whether by blood or by choice there are so many family dynamics to explore
HH: What did you like best about Reese? MJ: His unwavering belief in his love for Jazz and understanding of her. Reese is a strong man and know what he wanted. No matter how Jazz tried to make it seem as if it was only sex he knew it was much more.
HH: What did you enjoy most about writing this story? MJ: The chemistry between Jazz and Reese. It drove the story.
HH: What are you working on now? MJ: Turning the Tables, the next book in the Sultry Nights Series. It features Jermaine Hamlin and Mia Carrington. The love/hate relationship between these two is explosive.
HH: What made you decide to go from reader to author? MJ: Actually I've always been a writer. I used to make up my own fairytales when I was a kid. {Grin} I've been pursuing my writing career for many years. Studying fine tuning my books for publication and working to my goal of becoming a published author.
HH: What's been your best experience since publishing? MJ: The other authors and publishing professionals I've met. They have all been so helpful.
HH: How has being a publisher author changed things for you? MJ: I've had a taste of what being published feels like. The wild roller coaster from book being contracted to release and it has made me want it more than ever. More of that feeling of bring quality stories to readers.
Besides that not much else has changed. I have the same drive I've always had concerning my books. Still working on fine tuning my books for possible publication.
HH: What goals have you set for yourself at this point in your career? MJ: I have lots of goals. Wanting more books published and so on.
HH: What's your favorite way to interact with readers? MJ: You can find me at these places.

Satin Notes:
As many of my readers know I enjoy writing free reads. Earlier this year with the opening of the site Satin Notes a free read site with novels written by myself, Aliyah Burke, and Taige Crenshaw I am able to do what I enjoy doing on a much larger scale. The stories are based in the fictional towns of Trescott Cove and Savoy Valley. The two towns we are using to set the stories are interesting. On the site we go into more details on why we choose the towns. The free reads on the site will available for all the readers. Check out Satin Notes - http://www.satinnotes.com. Every Friday there is a new chapter in a story.
HH: Thank you!
