About Raine Delight
Raine Delight loves to be pampered by her harem of men that exist solely for her pleasure. Wait... that was in a movie she saw. Hey, she can dream. J Raine loves to fight with her muse, attack her manuscripts and find a way to silence the many voices in her head. Inspiration hits at odd times and for Raine, a blank word document page gives her many possibilities on story ideas. Living with her two kids, a significant other who supports her every move in writing and doesn’t seem to mind she gets up at 2 am to type away on the computer. With a love for Johnny Depp, movies and 80’s hair bands, Raine finds a way to bring all her chaotic thoughts into a story that tells her readers about love and romance.

An Interview with Raine Delight
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Raine, thank you so much for talking with us at TRS. Your featured story is Moonlight Masquerade in the On Valentine's Day anthology. What can you tell us about the anthology first?
RD: It was actually a bunch of us talking on how cool it would self publish an anthology of m/m stories centered on a theme. This is my second time with the It’s Raining Men anthology and I am with some amazing authors here. Sue Brown, Patricia Logan, AJ Llewellyn, Geoffrey Knight, Michael Mandrake, Serena Yates and more.
My story is called Moonlight Masquerade and centers on a guy who has given up on love after one too many disastrous boyfriends. Skylar is one person I loved writing about. He was tired of the losers he seems to attract and hated Valentine’s Day with a passion which was ironic since he was a baker who had to make these desserts and treats centered on this day of romance. Let’s just say things aren’t all as they seem when Skylar finds himself attracted to his new neighbor.
HH: How did you come to be part of this project?
RD:I am in the It’s Raining Men facebook group and we were kicking the idea around of doing self-published anthologies centered on different themes. I got to hand it to Sara York for keeping us all on track, formatting the anthologies and more. She was the powerhouse behind it all. Plus this was my first time being involved in self-publishing and writing my first two m/m short stories. I can’t wait to publish a few more for the readers.
The first anthology was called Hot Summer Fun (My story is called A Summer Night Fling in this one)
The next one was Winter Heat: Erotic Stories to warm the heart.
On Valentine’s Day was next and there are two more themed anthologies in the works-a military one and a paranormal/Halloween one.
HH: What can you tell us about your story and how it fits into the work?
RD: My story, Moonlight Masquerade, was inspired by the cover actually. *laughs* Something just called to me the first time I saw it back in October when Sara sent us a mock up of it. It was sexy, romantic and it called to mind of roses, chocolate and more.
HH: What do you like best about Skylar and why will readers empathize with him?
RD: I think readers will like Skylar because he is someone like you and I, feels like he is unlucky in love until the one person meant to be his comes to find him. He is truly one of my favorite characters to write about. I know some will understand how it feels to be cheated on, dejected that all the frogs you kiss are not that prince you are looking for (or princess).
HH: What do you like best about Marc and why will readers love him?
RD: Marc is a man with secrets. He is someone that Skylar feels comfortable with and I hope readers will enjoy their friendship. J I don’t want to get to detailed because one of those secrets comes out in the story. *grins*
HH: What did you enjoy most about writing this story and what do you think readers will take away from it?
RD: That everyone deserves to be loved. I always felt every person, man, woman and child, deserve to be treated with respect and have someone love them for themselves. I tried to convey that in Moonlight Masquerade and hope readers enjoy it.
HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers?
RD: Oh boy, 2013 is shaping up as a busy writing year for me. Between trying to finish two new Devon Falls stories to getting a free self-published story out this month I am one busy bee.
Here is what I have planned for 2013:
Devon Falls Series:
Book 6: Mistletoe & Magic (Paranormal M/M Erotic Romance/Christmas themed)
Book 7: A Devon Falls Wedding (Paranormal Erotic Romance)
Space Pirates: Bounty (Futuristic M/M/F ménage romance) for submission
Second Chance at Love-My free read hopefully coming in February; Western M/M Holiday
HH: What's your favorite way to interact with readers?
Readers can look me up on Facebook (Author Raine-Delight) or on my yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Author_Raine_Delight)
HH: Thank you!
