Secondary characters work wonderfully to enhance the plot and drive the story forward. Each scene is masterfully crafted, with each emotion feeling intensely real to the reader. The insecurities, confusion of feelings, and sexual tension that both Dan and Rich have as they both come to terms with their feeling for each other is pure page turning delight. The smoldering sexual play is hot and yet the author does not fail to show the sex as emotional and intimate, a rightness of two souls connecting as one. The danger and suspense are an intricate part of the story working to deepen the connection between the men.
