|Rachel Adams is a reporter on a small town newspaper. She is trying to make a name for herself and the stories she gets are not going to win any awards. Spying on the notorious Cattlemen one night, she is caught by two of the town's deputies Killian and Adam. The pair are partners at work and at the Cattleman's Club. Killian is looking for a good time and Adam is looking for commitment. Rachel is trying to figure out why two handsome and sexy men are making such an effort to be with plain old her.
Ms. Penn's stories are always full of hot love scenes, interesting characters and fascinating plots and this one is no exception. Adam and Rachel has a lot of baggage between the two of them and this adds and interesting dimension to the romance, but Killian's well adjusted common sense brings them all together. I was amused at the pair's futile efforts to control Rachel. The love scenes are some of this author's best and the reader will fall in love with Killian and Adam long before Rachel admits to her feelings.
