|I live on a 22 acre hybrid wolf sanctuary in rural North Carolina with my 28 year old spoiled rotten daughter, my 70 year old widowed father, 4 cats, a rescued English sheepdog, and 23 abused, abandoned or rescued wolf hybrids. Reading is my escape from the craziness that dominates my life. I have been divorced for 27 years and am so happy to be single that I celebrate that fact every day. I am formerly of the US Postal services, where I worked in HR as a supervisor and oversaw the hiring for the executive branch positions in the western US. I became an avid reader at a very early age and became obsessed with Walter Farley's Black Stallion series. Today I gravitate more towards paranormal and urban fantasy, but still love a good historical when I find one. Some of my favorite authors (and there are many) are J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Laura Wright, and for historicals, well I cut my teeth on Kathleen Woodiwiss and Julie Garwood, but there are some great new authors out there such as Donna Grant and Lisa Valdez. Sorry, I have a tendency to get carried away when I am passionate about something like really good books. Besides animal rights activism, I am obsessed with the Duke Blue Devils (yes, that includes the football team as well) and become fanatical during March Madness. I love being able to share and encourage others to read great books and hope they bring as much joy to you as they do to me.
