Grace Austin, while travelling down her country road, came upon a car upside down in a driving rain storm. Her ten-year-old brother, Henry, had to help her get the man out of the car and into their nearby farmhouse. The Austin’s had very little but they couldn’t walk off and leave this unconscious man alone. Their father had died and left the farm to Grace to try to keep it up.

Nathaniel Sampson had taken over as president of the bank when his father retired. He had come to this backwoods town to repossess a farm from a man who couldn’t keep the payments on time. He didn’t know that Mr. Austin had died and his beautiful daughter, with only the help of a young boy, was struggling to keep up. All he knew was he had a job to do. How ironic that this trip would change his life so much!

Ms. Dawn Rachel Carrington has created a wonderfully compelling story about a couple on opposite ends of the financial structure. This emotionally charged plot is captivating and impossible to put down. The characters were so realistic it felt as if I was in the middle of the story. The dynamics of this sweet romance was fascinating to read. Although this book was a fast-paced, relatively quick read, it packed enough storyline into it that it read like a full-length novel. I hated to see it end.

The supporting cast was well developed and definitely added sparks to the book. The ending was more suspenseful than the book had been throughout. The book will definitely hold the interest of all readers. It is written so that anyone can enjoy it regardless of age or preferred genre.

I highly recommend this book to all readers. I was thrilled to read it.
