Under the 5th Street Bridge

Inspirational romance

Trey Lawson and Joy Cavanaugh were in love until he returned from the war injured. He completely ignored Joy and refused to resume his lifestyle before his wounds. He was running himself to death trying to pass his law classes and ministering to the people who lived under the bridge. His main concern was an old man named Buzz.

Joy didn’t know how to combat the feelings that invaded her after Trey returned home. She prayed and asked God to help her understand. She committed her after-work hours to working with the church committees. She was a professional at flower arranging and cosmetics and fashion.

This is another winner by Carla Rossi. She has written an inspirational novella which will capture everyone’s attention. It is not preachy but it does show the power of God at work. Her characters are realistic and their interactions are poignant. It’s obvious they are both still in love with each other. Her way of using words is such that, even when reading one of her novellas, it reads like a longer book.

Her words captured my attention and made me fall in love with the two main characters. The other cast members were understandably concerned and it showed. I believe that this book will be a success. Everyone would love to have it.
