Kari was so tired of being overweight. Nothing worked, not the diets or any of the myriad methods she had explored. Desperate, she turns to a slimming spell she found in an old book. She lost weight -- and almost her life. The spell was a summoning for an ancient famine demon, Kaphawn. Because of his ability to fight the demon, Rahmiel, a former Guardian angel has been bound to it for eight thousand years. When Kaphawn was summoned to earth, Rahmiel was released to fight him once more.

What an absolutely wonderful surprise this book was. I was totally on board with Kari and the slimming spell. How great would that be if it had worked? Of course, it didn't really, although she went from a size eighteen to a four. It did cause a few people to die, so I guess it wasn't such a great thing after all. It did get her a date with a smoking hot angel. Rahmiel was my kind of angel, not preachy or sanctimonious, and very comfortable with his sexual urges and desires. He had a great many urges and desires. Hey, he had been frozen for the last eight thousand years. He could fib a little too. Not blatantly, but boy did he omit some stuff when he was explaining certain situations to Kari. He had that pouty little boy lip working for him when he didn't get his way. Loved it! It would not hurt my feelings at all to read more from Ms. Aires. Good job!
