Kirk Matheson rides the bus to work several times a week, intrigued by the attractive and quiet bespectacled man he typically sits behind. One day when the bus crashes during a storm, Kirk finally meets the shy stranger, Elijah Cartwright, and stays with the seriously injured man until the rescuers arrive.

After Elijah's recovery, Kirk makes a date with him. Though an unfortunate event brought the men together, can they find their way to happiness?

The idea behind this story is an interesting one, two men meeting in unusual circumstances which promises great things. Sadly this book failed to engage me from the start. I found the characters could have done with more depth, the dialogue was somewhat stilted and the sensual scenes were rather clinical. Something about the whole story seemed rather forced and what started off as an interesting premise veered off into a laboured plot which didn't have a whole lot to say. The characters were never explored enough. I didn't become engrossed in them and I never felt a particular spark between Kirk and Elijah. The story was well written enough but it lacked any real bite or anything to capture the imagination.
