Laura buys some sexy lingerie and comes home early to surprise her husband. She get a shock instead when she finds him in bed with another woman.

I think Ms. Blaine builds an excellent story of a lopsided marriage being tolerated for all the wrong reasons. Laura is never good enough for her husband. There’s always something he wants different or just his way no matter what his wife’s thoughts or feelings. He sounds like an obsessive compulsive, self centered egotist who has no idea his idea might be wrong or unfair.

Laura is the emotionally battered wife who finally has had enough. Instead of finding a way to pay him back, Ms. Blaine shows her finding a way to get something for herself that has been lacking in her life for a long time. When Laura goes to her best friend Daniel because her husband has driven away all of her other friendships, Ms. Blaine paints us a real love story unfolding, one that has all the qualities lacking in Laura‘s marriage. I’m truly a sucker for a good romance and this one has all the right ingredients. The characters, the storyline, the hot sex, the dialogue are all well done to make this an easy story to enjoy.
