| The day after lawyer Colin admits to his wife that he is gay, he wakes up to find her gone, leaving him alone with his autistic son Kerrigan. He ends up having to take his son to work with him. His boss recommends a summer camp for Kerrigan so that Colin can focus on work. Although Colin feels like he is abandoning his son, he doesn't know what else to do. Beau never intended to be the director of a summer camp for autistic children, but he loves the camp and the kids. Beau does not believe in getting involved with the parents but when he meets Colin the attraction is instantaneous.
This is one of those books that started out great. It caught my attention, the plot seemed clever and interesting, the story starts out focusing on Colin and Kerrigan, but quickly turns into Colin and Beau's story and Kerrigan gets left out in the cold so to speak. Kerrigan just becomes an afterthought in the story. I liked how the relationship with Colin and Beau started, it seemed believable and romantic, but quickly turned to be all about the sexual attraction, which took some of the enjoyment out of the story, the second half of the story was all about the sex with the plot secondary. Also the story seemed to jump from one subject to the next so that reading it seemed awkward at times. There is plenty of sensual m/m sex in the book and it is well written, I just wish there was more storyline less sex. The author had a chance to educate people about autism in a very enjoyable manner and then just lost it in all the sex. I know this is an erotic story, I just feel it had the potential to be so much more. The author writes wonderfully, and I would be open to reading more from her, this is just not one of her better stories, but if you just want to focus on the romance, instead of the whole story, this is not a bad book.
