| Snowboarding naked is just one of the many stunts country singer Travis Reed likes to use to wind down. The thrill of performing on stage isn't enough to keep the wired up young man going. Sleep is one of those things he only does when he's too exhausted to go any more. Wyatt Chastain finds he's got his job cut out for him. Not only does he have to keep Travis safe from whoever's threatening him, he also has to keep him safe from himself and his wild thrill seeking.
BA Tortuga pens a tale of two men who find something worth writing a song about. Wyatt is a serious guy but Travis' antics brings out the wildness in him too. Their attraction leads to some great eroticism that fills up the pages while waiting for the suspense to play out. Seems like the author takes us on a wild ride with the characters that leads to some fun along the way. Travis' character is so wired we can almost feel his inability to sit or stand in one place very long unless he's wrapped up in sex or writing a song. Wyatt is solid, a rock for the comparably pint sized singer to lean on. Ms. Tortuga seems to give us an inside look at a performer's life, dialogue, and thrill seeking. Lots of action and suspense drive the book to a surprising conclusion.
