| An Advantage Player is one that Los Vegas tries hard to discourage for that player has some way of increasing their odds of winning. The ability to count the cards and know which ones have already been played is an advantage Casinos have made very difficult to do. But this Advantage Player has a "gift" that the Casinos haven't recognized yet and he is very careful to stay below their radar. He has a specific goal in mind to meet for his weekend trip but he didn't plan on what could happen when if met a special lady on Lady's Night, that time when young women put on their best dress and look for a big winner to spend some money on them.
The story, Advantage Player, is a fun and interesting look at the world of gambling from the view of an advantaged player. The main character explains much of his strategy and I found the description of the mechanics of a blackjack game fascinating. But the fun happens when fate throws the intriguing and very determined player a curve or rather curvy woman to take his mind off the game, at least for a little while. Neither the player nor the young woman that catches his eye expects the explosive chemistry that they find when they take the ultimate gamble and decide to play away from the gaming tables. I thoroughly enjoyed this steamy and charmingly wicked contemporary romance. Take a gamble and read this one for yourself! D. B. Story is a new author for me but one I will look for again.
