| Meddling in the affairs of dragons can sometimes get you into hot water; and at other times, it gives unexpected benefits.
The Affairs of Dragons contains twenty-four short stories about dragons. The stories are all about light humor and often the moral at the end of the story. I found myself giggling over lazy dragons and petulant dragons, and snickering at humans who didn't know enough to let sleeping dragons lie. Each story displayed Ms. Fairbanks' imagination and talent in writing a short story. They also seemed exactly like the kind of story you'd find in fairy tale books, albeit dragon-centered and with more humor. It was incredibly easy to read through this fantasy anthology, and each character, though only in the book for a short time, had their own personality. I pretty much enjoyed the whole of The Affairs of Dragons as a light, humorous read, but there were a few really sweet stories such as The Ugly Dragonling that brought a little tear to my eye.
