Tianna Xander has penned another fabulous book that blends the realities of any new relationship with the ever present fight against evil. She mixes her own unique female heroine who has been hiding her powers with a rather overpowering male who has more depth than his outward persona would indicate. Ms. Xander builds their lives and personalities lovingly and well through the trial and error of an early relationship. Events bring them closer before they risk life and limb to save others.

Lily is great with her wry humor, one liners and underlying insecurity.. She doesn't hesitate when others need her. Whether it's helping her friend Cassie, her brothers or hundreds of kidnapped children, she' not one to sit back and let others handle things. Darius realizes eventually that he can't put her on a pedestal to keep her away from danger. When he finally stands with her as an equal they both shine.

Ms. Xander has given me another book where the pages just seem to fly by as the characters become real people no matter what the time period or type of evil they fight. There are surprises in the storyline, icky and nasty villains, but she keeps them secondary to the love story. This is a great read.
