| Nicholas Trent has been with the Department of National Security for seven months and now he is about to get a new director but when the new director is one outside the agency, sparks do not sit well with some of the personnel. All Nick can think about is their new director has breasts, he could practically careless about anything else. Shiloh Templar is former CIA, working for them for eight years. Her first briefing, with the people she will be working with, doesn’t get off on a great start with Nick. She feels like he is a bit too young. Shiloh still wonders why of all the qualified people they had chosen her for the position. Her new position required discipline for her new group, at DNS, and she will certainly make sure they got it. She would weed out the unsuitable and acquire a more professional appearance. Nick piques her interest even if he is ten years her junior. Still she believes that he is not right for the agency, more for someone spending his time at the beach but Nick is determined to prove to her his worth in more ways than one. When Shiloh becomes a target for a crazy gunman, Nick sets out to find a way to save his Ice Princess and make her his.
Agent in Training grabs right from the beginning. Shiloh and Nick ignite the pages the minute they meet. Their eye contact down to the intense dialogue keeps the story moving at a great pace. I loved the part about the shower and could practically see the expression on Shiloh’s face when she stumbles onto Nick. Jerri A. Drennen creates a terrific story with a touch of passion, suspense and electricity with characters where sparks fly. The secondary characters add a special touch to make the read come alive while sending action along the way. This is one excellent read that shouldn’t be missed.
