| As the village healer, it is Azara's destiny to live her entire life as
a virgin. But this is not the thought uppermost in her mind as she's
standing with her pregnant best friend, Laleh. The two of them are in
the village square, listening to the words of the village seer, Narda.
Narda is not very well liked by anyone in the village, but she is
feared. And Narda loves the fear, even though she hates the fact the
villagers all love and respect Azara. But then again, Narda has always
hated Azara. One of these days, she will have her revenge on the lot of
them. Meanwhile, Azara and Laleh can't believe the God of Fire is
asking for a virgin female sacrifice. The sacrifices stopped a long
time ago. Why is Narda bringing them back?
Later that night, Laleh's husband wakes Azara from an erotic dream. It would appear to be Laleh's time and Azara sends him with the other children somewhere else. After a long and difficult birth, Azara manages to save both mother and daughter, once more incurring Narda's wrath. Narda has pronounced the child would be stillborn, which didn't happen. Just one more reason for Narda to hate Azara. Once mother and child have been taken care of and are peacefully sleeping, Azara goes to her secret place to bathe. Adish has decided to come out of his palace and wander. As he goes to his secret pool, he sees a vision of loveliness already in it. Instantly struck by her beauty, Adish falls in love with the beautiful woman. Once he notices her healer's cloak, he has no idea of how to proceed. As a healer, she is one of his mother's and therefore, untouchable by any man. Will Adish ever have Azara? What of Narda? What exactly is she planning? What form will her revenge take? ELEMENTAL WIZARDS: AGE OF FIRE is a wonderful fantasy story. Sapphire Williams has done a wonderful job of showing the problems facing a woman sworn to celibacy. We have the perfect heroine, beautiful, light and helping everyone, even fighting death to save a old spiteful woman. On the other hand, we have the terrible villain in Narda, dark, full of hate and bordering on the edge of insanity. We have the hero, the elemental wizard of fire, moody, handsome and with a flame in his eyes. If you're in the mood for a wonderful fantasy romance, complete with the heartfelt sigh at the end, you don't want to miss this one!
