Jarod and his friend finds Piper in the swamp and she is ill, so they bring her back and nurse her back to health the only way they know how. When she comes out of it, he finds out that she has two sisters who have gone missing and that she is looking for her brothers. Jarod does not want to take a chance on leading her to the men she says she knows for fear it is a trick. However he soon finds out that Piper has a strong will to find the men, even if it's on her own. In a world fraught with danger at every turn, Jarod can't just let her go wondering around alone, but can he trust her?

This book is awesome and kept me reading until the very last page. Piper is a great heroine who is determined to find both her brothers and her sisters even if she has to go it alone. Jarod is a man with a serious trust issue where women are concerned. In a world where the men are slaves and the women rule, you quickly realize why he has a trust issue. The love scenes are very hot and hold nothing back. Jan Springer has created another futuristic story that will intrigue the reader and have them clamoring for more. We also hope that Jarod's friend and sexy sidekick gets his own story.
