| Engaged and about to marry her longtime boyfriend Keith, Lena Richards gets the surprise of a lifetime when her best friend whisks her away for a pre-wedding trip to Europe! Their first stop is Amsterdam, city of beer, hash, and other interesting culture shocks. When they meet fellow American Tyler Bentz, the trip becomes even more intriguing. Tyler clearly has his eye on Lena but she is engaged, in love with Keith. She wouldn't cheat on him.
Until she learns that Keith is in Maui with another woman! Enraged and upset, Lena decides to get more involved with Tyler. After all, if Keith can cheat, so can she. But as Tyler and Lena grow closer, Lena begins to wonder if she is doing the right thing. Her feelings for Tyler are growing by leaps and bounds, but so is her guilt. What will happen when Tyler learns the truth about her engagement and why she agreed to be with him in the first place? Ain't Misbehavin' is a fairly good romance. As long as you focus on Tyler and Lena, and ignore Lena's guilty conscience, you will surely like this story. It has its distasteful parts, after all, Lena is cheating, and sleeping with another man for revenge which is not exactly nice, but other sides of Lena emerge during the course of the story. She never really had the opportunity to explore her sexuality, her femininity, or her love of travel because she has always been stuck with Keith. Lena does grow as a character in this story and it helped me like her more, and in part, understand and accept her actions too. Tyler is sexy, funny, and has some great one-liners that will leave you laughing and smiling. He is clearly the kind of guy Lena needs in her life, but will she realize it in time? Despite some flaws, Ain't Misbehavin' still manages to end on a positive note. It was fun exploring Europe with these characters, and it was interesting to see how Lena dealt with her guilt, anger, and growing love. This is a pleasant read.
