| Aislyn O'Sullivan is a rebel fairy from Glenveagh, wanting to live in the human world. She is prone to getting into trouble. She had always been in love with Seamus Gallagher, her brother's best friend. But he treated her like a younger sister. One day he took her to the human world and increased her size so she looked like everyone else. Here Seamus was an Auckland policeman on the quest of certain criminal. In Glenveagh a cat was the most dreaded thing there was. Because of the smallness of the little fairys the cat treated them like a mouse and could very easily cause death. While she was human size a cat had rubbed against her legs. Later when she got back to the fairy colony cat alarms kept going off around her because of the smell of the cat on her person. For a punishment the board sent her back to the human side to do research on ways to repel cats.
Seamus Gallagher was not only the Guardian of Glenveagh but also a in charge of many policeman from the fairy force. He knew he could never marry Aislyn because of his responsibilities to the fairy colony. She was known for getting into trouble and his wife would have to be the perfect fairy to please the colony board. AISLYN by Shelley Munro is a wonderful story of make believe where fairys and humans work hand in hand for the betterment of the world. I have read Ms. Munro before and I always enjoy her stories. She is an excellent author with a vivid imagination that pulls the reader in at the beginning and never lets go. I recommend this story to anyone that likes a little magic in their plots. It was a very enjoyable read.
