| Jessica breaks up with her boyfriend when she catches him in bed with her girlfriend. Furious with him and herself for caring, she rides up to her sanctuary in the woods to escape for the weekend. When she arrives, she finds it already occupied by her brother and a couple of very handsome men. One of them takes notice of her, but she's not interested in starting something new. After fending off his advances and having a very eventful weekend, she's glad to get back to work, especially when the chance of a lifetime comes along.
Dylan has been searching for his mate for what seems forever. Helping out the earthman Cole had been one of the best things he could have done, because now he's found her. Cole's sister refuses to let him court her in the traditional way, so he decides to make sure she doesn't have a choice. After all, when she meets her other Mate Jett, she'll definitely want them. Of course, she doesn't really have much of a choice. The first thing I noticed about this story is the chemistry between Dylan and Jessica. It is hot and strong, so strong that it nearly overwhelms the other man in the story that is supposed to be Jessica's other mate, Jett. There certainly wasn't as much between Jett and Jessica and there was with Dylan. I liked Jessica; she seemed pretty feisty in the beginning but tended to give in at the end. Dylan and Jett was a great pair that I'd sure love to have, but I felt that the story was really about Dylan and Jessica with Jett kind of thrown in. I enjoyed reading the story; there is a lot of action and plenty of sex to keep everything moving along. I don't think that you need to read the whole series to understand what is going on in this story, but it probably would make things a little clearer as to why certain rituals were happening. There was a real cliff hanger with Dylan's sister; I can't wait to see what happens in the next book of the series.
