When Earthling Quinn and his Allurian wife Xindra were dating, they didn't really see the need to have the birds and the bees talk with each other.  Boy did that leave some big surprises for their honeymoon, and they weren't all good.  Luckily, they managed to work them out and have a wonderful time.  However, once they're back in their normal routine, Xindra finds out the difficulties that her good friend is having with dating men from other planets who she's attracted to.  Suddenly, Xindra sees a service her and her husband can offer during the off season from their regular jobs --teaching Alien Sex Ed classes. After all, they can't be the only ones having issues.  So after carefully screening their first set of students, they start giving both information and demonstrations of different species.  In fact, when information learned in the class leads Xindra's friends to love maybe this could be even more than they ever thought.

I was so glad to see that this book is the beginning of a series. It had a great mix of elements that I really enjoy.  There's humor along with some really hot sex.  Ms. Ritch also does an amazing job with details.  As a big fan of sci- fi and sci-fi romance, I was so impressed with the details she came up with for the inhabitants of the different planets.  At least I'm assuming they're all made up and not from personal experience because they were developed with that much detail.  The only thing that I was a bit disappointed in was that the book definitely ended on a "to be continued" note. But I know I'm going to be watching for the next part just to see which characters are in the next book and what else she comes up with to surprise me with.
