Allegra’s Seduction by Monica M. Martin is a suspenseful, sexy story on the ways of vampires. They characters are interestingly creative. The vampires are definitely not portrayed as kind and gentle friends of humans. They seem indifferent to humans and see themselves as superior. At many times their ways seem cruel. Allegra and her friends have spent time together in Europe going to parties and enjoying their lovers. Allegra has never been jealous until it came to her friends and Gabriele. She spends her time wondering what Gabriele is doing with one of the others when he is not with her. When she is with him she forgets anything except her desire to be with him. It seemed as she must be under his thrall for her to forget that he spends time with her friends then comes to her to be intimate. Gabriele does what he must to be with the woman of his choice. He just prays she passes the tests. He seems to be much kinder than the other vampires. He is handsome and truly wants someone he can love. It is hard to read that he allows some of the things that are done because he can’t challenge the Lambertis. I wanted him to be a hero that protected and would take them away from the unpleasantness of the other vampires. I understood why he does not, but it just made him seem weak. There are instances when there is public and group sex as well as dominance and submission with bondage. The sex is graphic and described in explicit details making it easily visualized by the reader. The dialogue is well written and flows smoothly. The end is surprising and worth reading. Allegra’s seduction is an emotionally stirring story based on the hierarchy of the vampires and their ways, steamy and provocative this story will be enjoyed by many.
