This has a rocky beginning, mostly for poor Davis, our hero. He's disgruntled with his boss, job and his relationship with his boyfriend, George. He surfs the net one day and enters a contest for travel to Australia. He doesn't think anything of it as he continues with his life. He gets laid off, he receives the call telling him he just won an all expenses paid to Australia, goes home to tell George (thinking this could save their relationship) and ends up going on the trip by himself.

This is one of the stories from the Postcards from Paradise series and makes me want to travel to see the area in the story! Poor Davis is trying to enjoy his trip and all the places on the tour he's on. One of the guides, Judd, is highly attracted to him (and visa versa) but they seem to have terrible communication challenges. I say that because Davis starts out by lying to everyone about his job, relationship and life in general. Davis eventually comes clean about everything which opens the door to Judd spending much more time with him.

Ms. Champa's story was very dramatic. I was pulling for Davis and Judd almost from the first step Davis took upon arriving in Australia. I enjoyed the descriptions of Sydney and the other places she took us to, the travelers on the tour were so charming and sweet! The connection between Davis and Judd was intense and made it worth the rocky beginning for Davis. Not only do I want to read more from the Postcards Series, I want to read more from Ms. Champa!
