| Kaycee Mathews is planning on joining others at the family cabin this year for the holidays. She has arrived first, expecting the rest of her kin to show up in the next while. On the way, she heard that a snowstorm is expected about the same time, along with the relatives. The time she has before their arrival is used to think about her past. The sad thing is that the cabin doesn't hold only good memories for her. Years ago, the love of her life destroyed her feelings in a single night. The time since, the last ten years, has been utilized to try to forget, an assortment of men unable to even bridge the gap. Imagine her shock minutes later when the love of her life is standing in front of her at the front door.
An excellent, warm romantic story this is. We know that both still love each other, since they wouldn't have spent the last years trying to forget otherwise. Thank goodness that one meddling mother is all it takes to put these two (and some help from Mother Nature) in the situation necessary to force them into working on the misunderstanding. Short, but complete and smoothly written.
