| Ann is a financial planner for the not quite or more than human. Her first and most important client is the vampire Lancelot Cheron, who may or may not have sat at the Round Table with King Arthur. Always attracted to Lance, things are just starting to get serious between them when an obsessed acquaintance and a woman from Lance's past cause some major problems between them.
I really enjoyed this story. Ann is a quirky character, a financial planner who can not manager her own money. Her attraction to Lance and her insecurity regarding his feelings makes her a much more believable and likeable character. She tries to make a life for herself despite her feelings for him. The plot is full of sensual love scenes, action, and excitement. Lance is a pretty irresistible alpha male and his mysterious history made me want to read more. He and Ann's romance is rocky and never boring, especially when Lance's past comes back to haunt him. Fans of vampire romance with a lot of action and a bit of humor should not miss this one. I still can't quite picture Collette. Her interactions with the neighborhood dogs and romance with Lance's bodyguard had me laughing out loud several times.
