| Danielle's 30th birthday is approaching and her friends have ganged up on her with the intention of forcefully injecting some fun into her life after the depression caused by her cheating ex-husband. Little does she know that the club they are taking her to is not only the wildest, hippest and sexiest place to be, it is also crawling with vampires. No sooner than she has entered the club she is chosen by the vampire king, Armondés, to be his bride in order to lift an ancient curse - and all of this has to happen before her birthday which is only two hours away. But something is rotten in the vampire state. And before the honeymoon has even started, Danielle and Armondés are dodging stakes. Is true love to be found amongst all the intrigue and the bloodshed or is their marriage doomed to fail from the outset?
All I Need is as remarkable as a refreshing story about vampires where the author beautifully manages to shatter all the clichés. Danielle, introduced into the vampiric world and turned into one rather abruptly, displays none of the histrionics so common in this genre, but stays, for the most part, cool, calm and collected. And it is rather cute to see an ancient vampire king fall in love almost at first glance. The villains are nasty but manage at the same time to display true emotions - other than rage and a thirst of revenge, of course. The story line of this novel is certainly not unique, but the characters decidedly are and this makes All I Need into a vampire novel one just has to read. One hopes that this is just the first instalment of many more novels in this series.
