Erin Nordman worked for ICS Software Development. She worked hard and never knew how to say no. She was in charge of the company Christmas party, had to purchase gifts for the employees, and had to repurchase presents for her family. She had the added stress of completing some vital reports due at year-end. Between all her necessary actions, the one man she was interested in suddenly began to show up wherever she was.

Dex Mitchell was Director of Finance for ICS. He kept finding excuses to visit the Human Resources department just so he could talk to Erin. He was attracted to her but afraid to ask her out. The office Christmas party offered him the perfect excuse without taking a chance on being rejected.

Ms. Kelly Jamieson did a good job with this fast-paced book about a woman who stressed out at Christmas. All her readers can relate and will love her plot. The two main characters were dynamic and interesting. The sensuality of the two was scorching and well written. The supporting cast and settings made the storyline sizzle. I especially enjoyed the way she brought the couple together and the coincidences that threw them in each other’s company.

I recommend that you read this book. It’s a good story even after the holidays. This novella was a refreshing look at how easily a woman can overextend herself during this high-stress period. It proves that romance can fit our lives no matter how busy we find ourselves.
