| Nancy Carter’s luck has gone from bad to worse all day. If a day could have been set up as a Murphy's Law kind of day this would be it for her. The worst part of her day has her car getting stuck in a car wash being buried by soap. Seems maybe her luck is starting to change for the better when a good looking guy named Rob Martin shows up.
I think we’ve all probably had days like Nancy’s but Margo Hoornstra gives it a little more pizzazz than I would. Of course my days that start like Nancy’s don’t end with a hunk walking into my life either! Ms. Hoornstra does a great job describing the typical results of a matchmaker trying to set people up too. Nancy’s sister Meredith and her husband both get into the act, each with a formula for a perfect match that doesn’t seem to be anything like what Nancy looks for in a man. Rob is well done as all the things Nancy has been thinking she wants in a date. The last part of her day looks like it’s turning out much better than the first part. This is a fun read with some well built characters and scenarios that gave me a lot of chuckles and a feeling of commiseration with Nancy.
