Eleven years ago, Faith Bennett pushed away the man she loved so he could follow his dreams. Yet when she did, though he left with her heart, he did leave something behind. Something that is precious to her that he has no knowledge of –- a son.

Miguel Santos is back in his hometown, right on the eve of his thirtieth birthday. There's one birthday wish he wants to come true. He wants his high school sweetheart Faith Bennett back in his arms and in his bed. And there is no way she's getting away a second time. Not if he can help it.

Sylvia Day totally dazzled me with this book. The plot and dialogue were fantastic from the start with Miguel arriving in town and going straight to visit Faith before his own family, showing his total dedication to winning her back. I loved the chemistry between this pair and how it was still so strong after so much time apart. Both the hero and heroine were fantastic. But I thought Faith allowing Miguel's mother to know about her son and not Miguel was not in her best interest. It seemed a little selfish, as Miguel didn't get to see his son grow up. While I liked that Miguel offered forgiveness for not telling him about his son, he was so angry and had a right to be.

Overall, the sex scenes were quite steamy and together with the ending made this book such an enjoyable read, as Miguel and Faith deserved a second chance at what she believed couldn't have been the first time around.
