| When Michael goes to New Orleans in order to find his sister, he finds his mate instead. To top things off, the pack that she is living in is so out of whack that instead of keeping her safe, they are abusing her. He only hopes that he can show here the love she deserves and bring her home to his pack where she belongs.
This is book five in the Westervelt Wolves series. I have loved each and every one of the books in this series and am always eagerly waiting for the next one to come out. Rebecca Royce is a great storyteller and weaves a wonderful tale about trust and love. I was pulled into Michael and Scarlett's world right from the start. Scarlett is a great woman, she has endured so much and is still standing. When Michael finds her she has been worn down so much that he is ready to kill for her. Yet she shows what a strong woman she is by showing forgiveness to many of her abusers. Michael is a wonderful man who is ready and willing to fight for those that he cares for. Seeing him build Scarlett back up was a beautiful read. The two compliment each other very well and make a great couple. I really enjoyed the interaction and bantering between all the characters. Especially when Michael must try and teach Scarlett's pack how to act correctly. Many of the conversations between Michael and his wolf were a good read. You not only get to meet Michael and Scarlett in this story but also many secondary characters that begin to endear themselves to the reader as well. Alpha Wolf contains a nice mix of romance and action. I have loved watching each couple find each other in this series and cannot wait for the next story to unfold.
