| Jolie O’Keefe was having a terrible time trying to get to the wedding of her friends, Todd and Sandra. When she walked in (late) and took the first seat she saw, she sat on a Stetson. Nate Webster was enthralled with Jolie even though he had never before seen her. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on—even though she was rough on hats.
Jolie’s mom died fourteen years prior and Jolie blamed herself the entire time. Even God wouldn’t accept her when she asked Him to save her. She could tell Nate was religious because he closed his eyes during prayer and even made comments during the wedding. He was concerned when he noticed Jolie was about to faint just as the bride and groom left the church. What he found out was that Jolie had shown up at the wrong St. John’s Church and the wedding she had just witnessed was not her friends’. Ms. Loree Lough has written a fast-paced, intense story which shows how God can direct the paths of His children even when they aren’t sure He really cares. This is done in a comical way in that it does not preach or try to force the readers to accept her slant on God’s love. She presents the facts in a light-hearted, understandable way. These characters find/lose/find each other in only a few hours and the plot is so well written that it seemed feasible. I loved the storyline and recommend you read the book.
