By the time she realized she was pregnant, a misunderstanding and a lie conspire to keep them apart. But when they run into one another at the reunion, the truth comes out and their love for one another never died.
The premise behind this multi-author series -- second chances -- is so utterly romantic. I've enjoyed more than a few of them. At the beginning of It's Always Been You, she thought he was dead and he thought she had married someone else. The reader knows the truth, but instead of spending the time squirming in your seat, the conflict is brought to light and resolved almost before it seems to be an issue. I wish the author had drawn it out a bit, giving the reader a chance to really get to know Elyse and Seth through a cagey dance of action and reaction. It's Always Been You doesn't pack much of a punch. The story was cute, light reading for a pleasant afternoon diversion.
