Caitlin and Eamon met years ago in Ireland and for a short summer. They were best friends and lovers. Caitlin returned home to Seattle to begin the long and hard journey to becoming an attorney. Eamon has moved to Los Angeles and started his own photography business and he travels internationally. By chance they meet one night in Seattle and realize time has not changed the sexual chemistry between them and they embark on a long distance love affair.

Lauren Dane is easily one of my favorite authors. Her stories are always rich in character development and very emotional. This story was no exception, however, the pace was slow and as a reader I wanted something more to happen. The book was almost over before the author gives us a climatic moment that changes the course of Eamon and Cat’s relationship. The plot was sound but I felt too much time was spent hashing out their developing relationship without anything changing. Then near the end of the book the relationship is settled quickly. The book has some great dialogue, making me smile at times yet also pulling at my heart with fear that their relationship couldn’t be resolved. To say I’m disappointed in the story is too harsh, yet it certainly isn’t my favorite by this author because it failed to hold my attention.
