Katlyn Sanders has spent her life of twenty two years being virtuous. She meets Jared King, the town bad boy and heir to one of the wealthiest families, and moves in with him almost immediately, shocking the entire town of Kingston, Wyoming. Katlyn lost her parents as a very young child and had lived with her Aunt Trudy since then. She had always done the right thing and wanted to have the approval of other people. Her association with Jared changed all of that. Things become complicated when Katlyn leaves Jared and moves back in with Aunt Trudy. Katlyn has no interest in being a mistress. She wants a serious relationship – lover, husband, father. Jared wants to win her back. Let the fireworks begin.

Jared and Katlyn are an interesting mix of characters. Katlyn is a very appealing good girl who wants more than she's experienced thus far in her life. Jared has all the appeal and smugness of a bad boy and a person in a life of privilege. He's used to getting his own way and getting what he wants. Katlyn challenges that. I found the primary story appealing but I found the underlying story much more interesting because it had so many different layers and different emotions. This story is an exciting one about the chemistry between opposites. It’s a very passionate tale beautifully written by Ms. Barker. I recommend it to everyone.
