Love blossoms but their job takes them away at the worst possible time. Now Kaya is feeling abandoned again and does not know how she will feed her child and survive alone. Her desperate choice is the catalyst that will change her life forever.
This book seemed to start out kind of slow but I quickly became involved in the dynamics of Kaya and how she slowly came to trust Hunter and Jericho. The underlying message to me was not to judge a person by the outside because it is what is on the inside that counts. The author demonstrates this in many ways throughout the book. Hunter and Jericho are both alpha men with a strong sense of responsibility. Kaya has been alone for so long that she longs to be with other humans but is afraid of being left behind again. By the very nature of the book, the loving is very sensual and gentle but also very explicit. I thought the author did a great job of portraying the emotion while keeping the sex understandably sweet given that Kaya was so innocent. While this book is a sequel to Golden Eyes, it very easily stands alone and is one I would recommend.
