| Sixteen years ago, Brent Hernandez’s mate disappeared. Every day since he’s missed her with every fiber of his being. He knows there is no one else out there for him, so he’s never attempted to replace her. Then, one day, out of the blue, she’s back. Rhett McCoy is as beautiful as ever, but she’s also badly injured and dying. Shocked to the core, Brent doesn’t know how to save her. As a last ditch effort, he gives her his werewolf blood in the hopes it might heal her. Save her it does, but it also brings about the inevitable questions. Where has Rhett been all this time? And who are the two young men with her?
Rhett can’t believe she’s with Brent again. He’s still the love of her life and being with him, even when he’s angry, is wonderful. Finally introducing her sons, Brent’s sons, to him is also wonderful. Clay and Tate are excited and nervous to get to know their dad, but like Rhett, they know trouble is still out there, lurking. The people who shot their mother are still out there. Is a reconciliation between Rhett and Brent possible with the history between them, and with the threats still awaiting them? Jeigh Lynn’s latest story, A New Moon, is another exciting and erotic contribution to the Moon series. Finally Brent and Rhett reunite and wow, the fireworks explode and the sparks fly! The love that was between them growing up is back and brighter than ever, despite the doubts and threats that surround their new union. Family plays a big role in this story and it is great watching Brent finally get to play the father figure. Ms. Lynn does not make their reunion easy, but she does make it workable. There are arguments, but there is also understanding. The added threat of the werewolf killers adds another layer of intrigue and danger to this story. Ms. Lynn delves further into their motives, but she doesn’t give away everything, keeping the reader in suspense as to what may happen in the next story. Fans of exciting and sensual paranormal stories are going to really enjoy A New Moon. The devastating sexiness of Rhett and Brent’s relationship is a great match to the suspenseful plotline. Whether a new fan to this series, or someone who has already enjoyed Ms. Lynn’s incredible werewolves, you’ll want to jump right in to this great read.
