| Angelique is a widow who is looking for the passion that she never experienced with her husband. She has become obsessed with experiencing for herself the various acts that she's heard whispers about from other women. Harry, the Duke of Sexton, is her best friends' brother. Angel has heard rumors that he is quite capable as a lover. The fact that he is dashing and handsome doesn't hurt either. It turns out that he's more than willing to be her teacher when it comes to the art of making love. Will this arrangement be enough for either of them?
I enjoyed the fast-paced, action-packed story. Angel dares to do what most women of her era would only dream of doing. Her willingness to participate in sexual acts usually reserved for the more experienced shows just how far she's willing to go for her sexual satisfaction after being left wanting for so many years. Harry, every woman's dream, wants to give Angel's experience the full range of his skills. He wants to please her over and over. Having a serial killer, who's also interested in Angel, thrown in for good measure adds even more intensity to the steam this book produces. I guessed who the killer was, but still wanted to find out what would happen to him and when he'd be discovered. The setting and location were right for this story. The taboos of the time period makes it easy to understand Angel's frustration and her need to go against the grain. This is a very erotic story and much of the action is sexual, as you would expect, based on Angel's goal. Since this is a short book there isn't time for many subtleties. I recommend as a thrilling, steam-up-the-windows read.
